I belong to an online writing community, one that is both supportive and challenging. It is important to me to work on, and polish my skills so I do this by writing short stories for the site, some of them contest entries.
A friend of mine recently passed away and I wanted to dedicate a story to her, not only because writing is important to me and it was a way of sharing that. But also to acknowledge the countless hours she spent over the years listening to me talk about my work.
