Mr Fix-it

Mr Fix-it

A parallelogram. My entry to ‘The Be Inspired’ Weekly Writing Challenge. #17.

You need to click on the picture so it’s eligible enough to read, but for ease – here is the poem…

Behind the

scope I lie still and wait

my body trained and prime for the task

Rigid and

still, I’m focused throughout

I’m a soldier at my very core

But I am

in a different world,

and  now I rarely pull the trigger

I still work

hard to protect and to

serve. Fixing things is what I’m meant for.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time.

Mel

    1. Thank you. As I’ve said before, poetry is a challenge for me, so I’m thankful for the opportunity to stretch myself. I had one of my characters in mind when I wrote this, and I loved the process so much. Take care. Mel

I'd love to hear from you.
