Be prepared for action! #MondayBlogs #1000Speak

I spoke of the 1000 Voices for Compassion project on Saturday, during my coffee post. This wonderful project aims to unite a thousand (or more) bloggers, with the aim of all posting about compassion on the same day – 20th of February. Click here to find out more.

In the lead up to the auspicious event (for the next three Mondays), I’m going to take the opportunity to share some of my favourite quotes on compassion.

Such a simple but wonderful idea πŸ™‚

I like Tutu’s linkage between compassion and action. Too often, people think words are sufficient. Or a #hashtag. Nope, it isn’t.

Nice quote and nice idea.

Is the information anywhere else. I don’t use facebook and it won’t let me see the page without an account.

Do you use Twitter? Using #1000Speak will give you access to information. The facebook page is a way for people to sign up (there’s a list). I believe there is or will be a blog and will try to dig up that information. I am also happy to add your name to the list on your behalf πŸ™‚

Thanks – the movement is pretty extraordinary. I’m excited about the event! πŸ˜€

What a wonderful idea. So any blogger can participate? Is their a criteria or guideline in which to follow?

Wonderful quote. Very true. Compassion is demanding, but something we should pursue.

That is a great quote – compassion isn’t a passive emotion.

A great quote, and an amazing idea! πŸ™‚

I like this. I like that you have to be prepared for action. Thanks for sharing Melissa. x
