Welcome to my weekly writing prompt series. The rules of the challenge are simple. Iβve provided two options below, and thereβs a handy link-up button at the end of the post, so you can upload your contribution and share it with others. If you prefer to use the pingback method, Iβll check out each link I receive. Here is the hashtag, should you wish to use it β #MelsWritingMenagerie.
But before we get to the prompts, I wanted to draw your attention to the entries from last week. Click on each title to read the full, original post (I’ve only provided a preview). Here they are:
The First Time I Died by Corina Carrasco
The first time I died, I was nineteen years old, and resigned to my fate; the second time was a different story. Β The first time I was leaving a horrible situation. Β I didnβt care to stay any longer, even though it meant my demise. Β That was okay.
But then, I found myself in paradise and I never wanted to leave it. Β I could see the deep blue water from the high point on the island. Β The palm trees shaded me from the hot sun and let me hear their fronds tickling each other as the winds made them sway coquettishly. Β A gentle breeze. Β Just enough to move the air around. Β There was so much fruit every where. Β I would never feel the rumblings of my empty stomach on this island.
The Elf Killer β Part III by Colleen Chesebro
A Situation by Cassie Newell
I died on the operating tableβ¦coded, flat lined. Sayonara everyone, thatβs all she wrote. Okay, well she put the pen back down but dang if she didnβt wait a good thirty seconds before she jumps starts my heart.
Reasons For Rejection: Rejection Spinoff β An M.I. High Fanfic
βWhy? Stella, you canβt just kiss me and then reject me. If you donβt love me then fine but if you do, just tell me why you keep refusing to talk? You owe me that muchβ Frank said.

Option 2: Fanfiction –
