Trick or Treat: Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Prompt Challenge 67

haiku-challenge-imageThis week, the prompt words for Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Challenge are CHEER and CALL.

If you’ve never tried out a haiku before, and you’d like to learn more, click here to read Ronovan’s article on how to write a haiku poem in English form.

In respect of the month, my haiku this week relates to Halloween. It was the first thing that popped into my head, so I went with it! Enjoy 🙂

call and cheer

As a bonus, it was my intention to join in the fun last week too and, although I wrote a haiku, I didn’t get around to posting it – so here it is (prompt words pine and grief):

Mother Nature grieves
when all around her seems lost
she pines for the earth

Thanks for stopping by.

Both are wonderful. I’m particularly glad you got round to sharing the one from last week – we would have missed a real treat otherwise! 🙂

That is a fun haiku. Makes me kinda want to use it for my Trick Or Treat Reads event. ^_^

That is a wonderful Halloween haiku. I shared it on my Pinterest board.

I like the cheerful masks- much better than terrifying ones 🙂

Spot on with this haiku, Mel. I love the design you have inserted the haiku into. Very seasonal.

I love the image that goes with the haiku. It personifies the cheerful poem.

Love the first one, so cute!

Hi! I love the Halloween haiku! It’s so cute and fun. The one you wrote for last week is amazing too. 😀 xx

The Halloween one, so apt and so funny! The mother nature one, so sad, but true, Great Haiku 🙂

Long time no read, I see the muse is running full speed in the gear writing department. Passing you some coffee that packs a punch and bag of M&Ms. For fuel for writing

Thanks for the coffee – Chuck’s special blend I see 😉 I hope you’re well and the muse is firing on all cylinders!

Yeah, the muse is firing on all cylinders. ALthough I had lapse into note mode and lurking online for tidbits.
Ahh Chuck Norris approved coffee, and M&Ms with an iconic tomahawk logo on there, warrior spirit approved. 😛 I think it would make an interesting combo and probably good parody 😉
