Chilling in my Snuggie

As I was strumming on my steering wheel this morning (my eyes were on the road), listening to Bruno Mars it struck me how clever some of his lyrics are.

I’ve always admired a good poet but song writing, now there’s a skill. I like most of his songs, but the Lazy Song has to be one of my favourites.

Though I might find it hard to imagine him doing anything in a ‘snuggie’ the concept of the song is great. That’s the thing about language, whether it’s poetry, song- writing, or prose, it can be inspirational.

Now when I feel the guilt creeping in because I’m having time out I’ll crank up the Lazy Song and use enough energy to drum along.

    Hi Mel.
I got your book ‘Sins of the Father’ to read on holiday in Scotland – but I couldn’t wait. I loved it. Please finish your next book ASAP.

      Hi Karen

I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I actually wrote the next in the series about six months ago, so now all I have to do is edit it!

Thanks so much for your comment.

      Take care, Mel

p.s Thanks for the delicious buns you sent in even though you were on holiday 🙂
