Mr Fix-it

Mr Fix-it

A parallelogram. My entry to ‘The Be Inspired’ Weekly WritingΒ Challenge. #17.

You need to click on the picture so it’s eligible enough to read, but for ease – here is the poem…

Behind the

scope I lie still and wait

my body trained and prime for the task

Rigid and

still, I’m focused throughout

I’m a soldier at my very core

But I am

in a different world,

andΒ  now I rarely pull the trigger

I still work

hard to protect and to

serve. Fixing things is what I’m meant for.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time.

Mel

Thank you. As I’ve said before, poetry is a challenge for me, so I’m thankful for the opportunity to stretch myself. I had one of my characters in mind when I wrote this, and I loved the process so much. Take care. Mel
