ptwwwbeinspiredPerhaps it’s not the best way to start a post, but I’m going to be honest and tell you I struggled with this week’s ‘Be Inspired’ poetry form – Quinzaine.

The English word quinzaine came from the French word qunize, meaning fifteen. A quinzaine is an unrhymed verse of fifteen syllables.

These syllables are distributed among three lines so that there are seven syllables in the first line, five in the second line and three in the third line (7/5/3). The first line makes a statement. The next two lines ask a question relating to that statement.

I gave it a go anyway, and here it is. I hope you like it 🙂

    Mel, thank you for your participation in the challenge! I do receive your pingbacks, its just that I don’t get enough time to read and comment properly on the poems 😀

    I know you have struggled to write this, but this seems flawless and perfect! I love your images with the poem, it so compliments the write. I really enjoyed this poetry form as it gives space to one to think over on the words and statements made. Yes, friends are essential and this so aptly portrays it.
