This week’s poetry form for the Be Inspired Writing Challenge is a Triquain. For details on how to write a Triquain click here.

I promised myself I would reduce the number of challenges I take part in during Camp NaNoWriMo, but it seems I like a challenge. To compromise, as I’ve done previously, I wrote the poem around Worlds Apart and the character of Audrey. I hope you enjoy it.

Everything has changed

It was an interesting one for me this week, and a kind of experiment. I planned out the poem, decided what I wanted to say and came at it from a completely different perspective.

Thanks for indulging me. I really enjoy taking part in these challenges, and if truth be told, this is the only time I write poetry. It’s a learning curve and one I enjoy from week to week.

    I love the feeling of desperation in this, very powerful! I wasn’t all that familiar with this poetic form either so thank you for highlighting it 🙂

    As for my writing, fiction was always my most comfortable area but I’m becoming more and more drawn to poetry in recent months. It’s amazing what a New Year’s resolution can lead you to.

        Wow, my first one 🙂 I’m flattered you would take the time! If you like James in the book – The Missing Link is the sequel. I think I mentioned once about a character I named without much thought to his role – that character is Barry and I think you’d like him. Anyway, I digress.     Hmm, I smell lots of backstory, drama and excitement bubbling up through those words. Interesting for a wanderer to expect to find destiny rather than home. I like all the rhyming and repetition, a lot of planning must have gone into this. Well done!!
