It’s been a hectic month, and lessons have been learnt! I managed to write 27,000 words for Camp NaNoWriMo. This fell short of my target by 9,000 words. I went through the normal reaction toΒ my failure, and when I let go of the big stick I realised, though I hadn’t met the ultimate goal – I did achieve something.
So, my hat off to all those who met their personal camp goal, and who raised money for an excellent cause. I met some terrific people, and I will definitely take part again.
It’s all about the timing, and I bit off more than I could chew by accepting the camp challenge. It’s theΒ main reason I fell short of my own target.
I moved house (across the country, no less), got my daughters settled in at school and found myself enough work to put food on the table! I even managed to spend time on my blogs once in a while, and kept up with the prompt series over at Featured Fiction.
Now that I’m no longer living out of boxes and I have several thousand words to play with, it’s time to move on.
Which means, the daily prompts are back. Click here for more information.
I’ll also be launching a new weekly prompt series – Featured Articles, which is a non-fiction basedΒ prompt.
Thanks to all of you who continue to offer your support and encouragement, and for your patience.
Mel
