I’m sure it’s safe to say that we all enjoy to share quotes; those which inspire us, those which make us laugh, or those which resonate on a personal level. There are a variety of reasons, and thanks to Colleen from Silver Threading, we get to do just that. Today I would like to share with you a quote by Gore Vidal:

I find this quote particularly interesting because I enjoy the concept of being a casting director for the characters inside my head. Of course it’s never that simple. I don’t have characters queuing up for the casting couch, as they wait for me to decide their fate. Usually the loudest steps to the front and hounds me until I am forced to give them my full attention. But there are certainly characters I’m familiar with, those I don’t necessarily know where to place. Then an idea will come out of the blue, and I’ll know exactly who to cast for the story.
How do you cast the characters vying for attention in your head? Can you relate to Gore’s quote? Do you have another favourite you’d like to share with us?
Thanks for stopping by.
Mel
