This week, the prompt words for Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Challenge are ‘Future’ and ‘Give’.
I let my mind wander for a while, and kept coming back to Maddison Wood, one of my characters. The prompt words inspired me to write a haiku about the sacrifice she makes to save a stranger. The him, for those familiar with my work, is Donovan (who is tortured during the Hympe Trials).
If you’ve never tried out a haiku before, and you’d like to learn more, click here to read Ronovan’s article on how to write a haiku poem in English form.
Thank you for reading and thanks, as always, to Ronovan for providing us with this great opportunity.
Until next time.
