Christmas Trees Around the World

My friend, Colleen, from Silver Threading, recently created a Christmas Trees Around the World challenge, which you can readΒ about here.

It’s easy to take part. Basically, all you need to do isΒ post a photograph of your treeΒ and link back to Colleen’s post. On the 22nd of December she will create a wrap-up post displaying trees from around the world. Sounds like fun, right?

Here is my Christmas tree.

Christmas tree

I’ve collected a plethora of tree ornaments over the years, and get a new one every year. I have baubles from around the world, including Paris, Spain, Rome, Australia, America and Singapore.

Here are some of my favourites:

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks πŸ˜€ I had my eye on a Marvel character this year, but it doesn’t really go with the tree! I might have to invest in another and geek out πŸ˜‰

What a beautiful tree! I love that each decoration is individual and has its own little origin story – so cute! πŸ™‚

Thanks, Callum. I have decorations gifted from friends and family too and the memories behind those are precious πŸ˜€

That is a great idea. Thanks for letting us know. It would be fun to take my students to visit that collection.

Thanks, Jacqui πŸ™‚ I do love this time of year!

But how do those Germans like myself go about it? The tree is up from the 24th of December till the 6th of January.

    1. mbarkersimpson Avatar

Do you have a picture from last year? That’s one way round it πŸ˜€

Anyways you have a beautiful tree.

What a lovely festive and wonderful looking tree, Mel. Are there gifts already under it?

I’ll be joining in Colleen’s challenge when the tree goes up on Sunday πŸŽ…

Yay! It’s a great challenge – I love the Christmas magic. There are no gifts underneath because I have two teenagers who don’t have an ounce of patience between them! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

I totally get where you are coming from. I have exactly the same problem with Toby. Only thing is he thinks all the presents under the tree are for him!

Beautiful tree! I like the unique ornaments. I normally have a big tree with tons of ornaments but this year it’s a little 4-ft tree with candy canes. Simple is all I could handle πŸ™‚

    1. mbarkersimpson Avatar

It sounds delightful πŸ˜€ Of course I’d be tempted to eat the candy canes!

Beautiful tree and ornaments! We used to put up two trees (10 ft and 6 ft) but now we only have a small tabletop one. It was getting difficult to carry them up from the cellar and put them up. We do decorate the house enough so that no one even noticed we didn’t have a tree!? Believe it or not? Lol! Blessings of the season!

    1. mbarkersimpson Avatar

Thank you, and blessings to you too. I do love a fully dec’d house – it’s a lovely, festive experience πŸ˜€

Lovely tree, Mel, and I like the ornaments too. I also buy ornaments when I travel – it’s nice to look at them and be reminded of trips past πŸ™‚ Hope you’re well x

    1. mbarkersimpson Avatar

It really is. I’m good, thanks and hope you are too πŸ˜€ x

Glad to hear it – I’m fine too, though wondering where the time is going! πŸ™‚
